1st Customer Review : My, what big teeth you have!
After burning out my Leitz combo blade trying to rip 6/4 hard maple, I picked up both the Irwin Marples 24T rip blade and the very similar Diablo blade. Both were good value for money and both chewed through maple like the proverbial knife through butter. I stuck with the Marples because it delivered a cleaner edge (though not quite a glue line rip) and potentially longer life span because of the super-sized carbide teeth. Seriously, this blade has quite the set of choppers. Irwin has delivered a professional-quality blade at a DIY price. Kudos to them. Then again, they really owe us one for outsourcing the Marples bench chisels to China.
