PROS
1. At 8.8 pounds, it is the lightest circular saw on the market. This is achieved by encasing the motor and handle in plastic and using cast aluminum on the shoe and upper and lower guards.
2. At 15 amps, it cuts with power.
3. An eight foot cord is adequate.
4. Metal levers control the bevel angle, cut depth, and blade lock.
5. A magnetic brake stops the blade spin within two seconds.
6. The tool is very balanced. . . . It feels right.
7. The Dewalt name signifies a commercial grade tool: reliable, durable, powerful . . . .
8. At $99, it is the cheapest Dewalt circular saw.

2nd Customer Review : Dewalt DWE575 7 1/4-inch light weight circular saw
I love my new saw purchased through Amazon.com, it is light weight, quiet, easy to adjust and works like a charm. Being 69 and a woman, the light weight bit is extremely important, I worked with it all day today cutting 2x6 boards for my garden's 20 raised bed frames and wasn't the least fatigued. (Well, at least not from repeatedly lifting the saw...)
3rd Customer Review : Good Quality
I only gave it a 4 star rating because I am picky. Quality is very good and adjustments are easy. Blade lock to keep motor from turning during blade changing is a nice feature that was not on my old saw. My only complaint is the angle adjustment is slightly off. The zero degree lines did not match up and was only very slightly off. I just put a 90 degree square on the base and make sure blade is true and then tighten. This means any future angle cut is slightly off angle but it was not a big concern for me since most of my cuts are 90 degrees. This saw is lighter than other saws I compare it to so it will mean less arm fatigue when using for many cuts. Discount during Cyber Monday seal the deal.
