I like the adjustable ems. The spot ratio is pretty decent as well. I'm happy with the overall bang for the buck. Even though it really looks and feels generic, it gets the job done well. It even comes with a little holster type bag.
I wish there was a pocket on it or the bag to hold the probe when not using it. I also wish it used "AA" or "AAA" batteries instead of a 9-volt since the "AA" and "AAA" batteries are a little more common and easier to find in different varieties.
**UPDATE**
The battery that came with this product finally died. When I tried to replace the battery, the battery cover wouldn't close all the way and popped back open slightly. What I found out is that today's 9-volt batteries have more squared edges which makes the battery a hair bigger. This slight difference doesn't conform with the battery cover's rounded inside and that is what prevents the cover from closing. The battery cover, by the way, is the black piece under the...
3rd Customer Review : affordable quality
In training as a boiler tech i purchased the thermometer i couldn't afford top of the line but in the same sense couldn't afford to buy something cheap and inconsistent.
All around this has served the purpose. The price i wanted was definitely met. The range in which it operates is more than sufficient in my line of work and all important accuracy is there.
I appreciate the anti-fog lens display and resistance to moister.
