1st Customer Review : Laser Pointer Not Straight
The distance measure is simple to use. You may need to press multiple times to get a consistent measure. It's accurate to approximately an inch over the distances I measured (rooms in home). It cannot be used for high precision measures.
The laser pointer displays a clear red dot. My main issue is that the left/right alignment on the pointer is off. I had planned to use the pointer to identify the correct alignment for a theater projector. I quickly found that I'd get different centers depending on whether I held the unit upside down or not, indicating an alignment issue. However, the up/down alignment appears to be correct; so if you hold the unit sideways, you can get the left/right alignment, and if you hold it flat, you can get the up/down alignment. I'm not sure if this is a unique defect with the one I received or a common problem.

2nd Customer Review : Works pretty good
I found it to be very accurate, after the temperature stablized, for room type measurements and calculations. I bought it to measure water level down a 6" well and that was not to successful because of the restricted area. I can't fault the unit for that! I did expect the battery to be included though.

It's like I expect seem the price. It's the instrument for my job. I don't need anymore. The time of delivery excelent. I'm happy with it.
