1st Customer Review : Useful tool.
This tool is useful to the point of fun. However for measuring longer distances it is VERY difficult to find the red "dot", especially outdoors, but this is likely a problem with all devices of this type. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tool or give it as a gift to someone I like, and only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it would be easy for the manufacturer to add a sighting mechanism like guns have.

2nd Customer Review : Pretty darn accurate
I'm a construction estimator and carpenter and I use it for both lines of work. It is not as heavy duty as a Hilti or Milwaukee, but it's the next best thing given it's cost. I like the green backlit screen, the button functions are fairly easy to use, one improvement they could make would be an audible tone to indicate when a measurement has been taken. I always have to check the screen after a measurement to verify if it was "triggered" for a measurement. I almost always double check by taking the measurement twice. It is such a light weight unit that it is easy to shake and move during the mearing process. A little ballast would help in this department. I like that it does the pythagorean function to save me from climbing a ladder sometimes. No regrets buying this tool.
