1st Customer Review : Accurate, Accurate. Accurate...did I say it was Accurate?
Accurate...that is just the beginning. Like Tyson said,"This thing works great." Like him for a couple weeks I was happy with the basic `point and shoot', straight forward, out of the box measuring. Then I sat down with the PDF manual opened up on my screen, reading it with my Leica Disto 330 on, and pressing the buttons as I went through the manual. What a difference that made in operating the distance meter...and Wow, I am impressed!
I tested it's accuracy over and over too! I even tested the accuracy of the measurement change when taking readings from the front versus from the back. I did this by a simple method of placing the meter on a desk and taking a reading off the wall (default reading from the back or the meter), I didn't move the meter at all and pressed the button to change the reading to be taken from the front of the unit, and took the measurement again. The difference between the readings was 5 1/32" ...precisely my prior tape measurement for the...

Once you get the hang of how the disto works, its a great tool out in the field. The battery goes out quickly so make sure to stock up on batteries.

this is good and handy.. but at least for me the battery gets exhausted pretty quick.. the display is easy to read and markings make it very useful..
