1st Customer Review : Solid Construction
I work as a 1st AC, and got this laser rangefinder to measure distances for pulling focus, so this review is kind of focused on that kind of functionality. I don't need to measure volume or use any of those more advanced functions that this device offers.
It's small! Actually just about the perfect size for a handheld device. Any smaller and it'd be hard to hold. This piece of equipment feels sturdy in your hand. It's just the right weight to feel like a piece of equipment, not a toy. The rubber grip really sticks to your hand, but the grip also sticks in the holster, making it difficult to remove. I also wish this device had was a tripod mount.
The screen displays the past 4 measurements, which is handy for when I need to take several measurements and don't have time to write them down right away. This is a huge advantage over cheaper models. You may not need this functionality, but I have found it to be handy.

2nd Customer Review : Built for ease of use and reliability
Press button once to turn it on. Aim it. Press button again to measure (and the laser turns off). Press once again to aim.
Automatically remembers the last 10 measurements (even if turned off), and shows 4 measurements at a time.
Press button and *hold it* for a second to enable *continuous* measurement (say 5 times a second). Automatically remembers the max and min of a continuous measurement.
Very easy to add and subtract measurements! Nice user interface.
Cool bracket on the back end of it which allows you to do two things: 1. Easily measure from the edge of something, like a table. 2. Easily measure from the *corner* of a room by pressing the bracket into the corner. The device automatically knows when and how the bracket is being used, so you can't make a mistake when you use it.
It's easy to add and subtract room areas, and even room volumes. Quite a clever yet usable device.

3rd Customer Review : Just what was promised
I purchased this before Amazon offered it, and have found that it is exactly what I expected. Easy to use and accurate. One note missing from the product description (and the reason I purchased this model) is the rubber 'bumper' that wraps around the meter. The reason for it's importance? Leica added it to provide protection from a drop of 2 meters - something that can absolutely occur on a job site.
