1st Customer Review : Missing probe and Wrong D:S
The thermometer works as described and seems to be free of defects.
I am returning this due to the thermocouple not being included as advertised AND the distance to spot ratio is advertised as 30:1 while the packaging indicates 13:1.

2nd Customer Review : Utter garbage
Out of the box, I observed close to 10% error over known good contact thermometers reading a range of objects. The K probe bizarrely read a lower temp as the temperature rose. I am hoping this is simply a defective unit, but it's completely useless for my intended purpose which was determining the temperature of a batter in a running mixer.
There is simply no good excuse for this shoddiness, and I'm disappointed, nearly beyond words, with this product.

the measuring range is way more than i need..it stores data so monitoring changes in temperature couldn't get any easier.
Its also so easily controlled with large buttons and an extra large digital screen.
