1st Customer Review : Inexpensive but...
We had a Radioshack large keyfob one from way back that finally gave it up and needed another point N shoot no-contact thermometer in a big hurry, so purchased this one.
It uses a 9v battery which is not included.
The laser quit working almost immediately. That is mostly used for aiming. The side of a fish tank, the tank water, or the surface of the pond, is relatively easy to hit, and that is what we use it for, checking relative water temperatures in aquakeeping. The temp part varies a few degrees but it indicates that it does in the description.
For the price, it works. I gave it 3 because of how fast the laser part died on it, and for the price it wasn't worth return. It feels a little cheap, okay to hold in my small hand, hubby's larger one he can hang onto it fine.

2nd Customer Review : Not for Professionals but very useful
This is exactly what I expected for an inexpensive IR Thermometer. It is surprisingly consistent. I have no means to check the absolute accuracy but for monitoring trends, it does what I need it to do.
