1st Customer Review : Telescoping Laser Pole
The unit works fine, but I was not happy with the locking feature on the telescopic pole. It seems a little too fragile for a heavy duty construction applications. It tends to not lock properly and securely enough to give me the impression that it would safely hold my very expensive laser level. It has slipped on the locking device to where it sometimes feels like it stripped the inner thread, then it will suddenly grab and hold just fine. I am very careful where I place it so that it will not get knocked over in a room accidently.For the average home owner do it yours self type it is a good product, but for the rough and tumble world of construction and muscle heads, It won't fit the bill.I would also like to add the the foot portion of the unit was cracked when I had purchased it, But I needed it at that time for one of my jobs, so I could not send it back. At this time since I had purchased it at such a reasonable amount it was not worth taking the time to ship it back, but it was...

2nd Customer Review : Well made, nice holder - works with any 1/4 20 accessory (camera, laser tape, etc.)
I accidentally ordered this - no idea how. When the pole arrived I had every intention of returning it - until I saw how well this thing is constructed. I have several telescoping poles that I use for hanging drywall, holding up cabinets, and pinning tarps to form a temporary wall. This pole telescopes more than those do - up to 11 1/2 feet. It can also be used to pin tarps, etc. At first I was confused by the locking mechanism. I tried to turn the plastic coupler. Nope. You turn the pole sections to lock them. The top several inches is a shock-type spring thingie. You extend the pole, compressing that against the ceiling, then tighten everything. Works great.
This pole included the mounting hardware for a laser - it's basically a synthetic clamp that would attach to ANY pole, with a snap-in bracket with the 1/4-20 thread. This will hold a laser tape, camera - anything with that thread. I'll probably use it as much for my camera as the laser tape - tripods tend to get...

The telescoping pole is heavy duty and easy to install at your work site. The level is a self leveling product the first one I have every owned. I am a home and garden type and thought long and hard before I purchased this expensive item, but I am glad I did.
Set the pole up, attach the level and turn on, that its. What you will see is a level line, if you are into home improvement projects you realize how important it is to have a level line. I never knew of self leveling levels until I was searching on Amazon for a laser level.
My first job was a tile back splash for one of our friends, I set up the level in a matter of seconds and was on my way. I was amazed at how the only level item in the kitchen was the line coming from my Bosch laser level.
Some thought has to be put into the location of the pole on your job site. If you work in front of the level your body will block the level line. No big deal just something to work around...
