1st Customer Review : Excellant tactical laser/light combo!
For the price ($70'ish?) I didn't expect much, but it looked good in print, worth a try. When I opened the box I was VERY impressed. This unit (an ELP-38) is combat, rock solid (says it all). All the screw fittings are fine-threaded and have rubber O-ring sealers. I'd wager that this unit would have no problem working under full water submersion, and I may try it someday and add to this report.
As per functionality, the light is rated at 150 lumens, good? bad? Here's how I rated it as "GOOD!"..
a) It lit up a totally dark room like daytime.
b) It lit up the inside of an SUV through dark tinted windows like a flood light.
c) I had my partner give me a sudden blast of it square in the face from 10' away, and I was absolutely blinded like looking into a welders arc. I had a brown dot in my vision for a half-hour afterwards (definately not fun, won't do it again).
The laser comes with a rubberized push-button ON/OFF switch, and a "momentary"...

2nd Customer Review : Piece of junk . . . and no refunds from Leapers/UTG
This item, like most of the items from UTG/Leapers, is too fragile for a real firearm, despite the "tactical" label. Notice that most positive reviewers do not mention actually shooting their weapon with this attached. They are just drooling over the sexy flashlight and laser. Those who've actually fired their weapons are the low raters. This thing only has one small screw to hold the laser to its mount and another to hold single screw to hold the flashlight to its mount. Everything truly tactical out there has at least two beefy screws for each purpose. This thing broke in two different ways before I finished my third magazine on the first day of shooting--the laser fell off because of a stripped screw and the flashlight broke internally. I returned the pieces to UTG in August 2011 and they acknowledged it broke when it shouldn't have, but refused to refund my money. 3rd Customer Review : Bright Light
The flaslight is very very bright. I even used the red dot laser in broad open daylight and sunny. It was visable on the target at 7 yards and was zeroed in perfectly. I shot 120 rounds that day but when I went back to the range a few days later, the laser quit working on the 12th shot. I had it mounted on an AK-47 pistol so there was not a lot of recoil. Amazon refunded my money, no hassle. If you want to try a laser at a cheap price, this is worth trying,I may have just gotten a bad unit.
